[ Local Component Certificate ]
A local component certificate is a document issued for products that contain a certain percentage of locally manufactured components. This certificate is used to prove that part of the production was indeed made from local components, which can be required to obtain benefits such as tariff reductions or to participate in government tenders. In Egypt, the percentage of Egyptian industrial component is calculated for government tenders and export subsidies.
